Welcome
to the second blog. In the next few weeks, we want to inform you about the individual teams with this format. What their tasks are and what is still planned. This week we start with the builder team.
But first, a few general updates from last week. The development of our own ServerSystem plugin has made great progress. There have also been advances in the Signalmod, in which a large number of signal boards have been implemented. Until the release of the new version, however, it will still take a while. More on this in the coming weeks. We have also started to move the server to a new provider so that the performance and the gaming experience are even better. Furthermore, the builders held a conference on Saturday, at which upcoming construction sites were informed and various things were voted on.
The structure of the builder team
is organized hierarchically, in which the builder team leader is at the top and takes over the rough supra-regional planning. He identifies new construction sites and organizes the entire construction team. Among them there are the construction site managers, who bear the responsibility of the respective construction sites. Although the builders are subordinate to them, they act mostly independently on the server and therefore bear a great deal of responsibility for the project. With the exception of a few specifications, they are free in their artistic vein and actively shape the server image. In regular conferences, news is discussed, proposals are made and voted on. The co-creation of each individual is very important to us. Progress can only work together in equal teams. The builder team is therefore looking for exactly YOU to support them. If you enjoy building in Minecraft and want to actively shape GIRC, then get in touch on our Discord. Together we can put together a cool project.
On our first route
is still being built diligently. However, we are on the home stretch, so the planning of further routes and villages is in full swing. The track planners have already roughly planned a huge rail network on almost 9,000 km². In which the cities are relatively far apart and are supplemented by smaller villages in between. As a result, longer travel times are sometimes achieved and trains can whizz through the lovingly designed landscape on high-speed lines. In addition to a passenger station, many places also receive freight connections in order to consolidate their economic relevance on the server. But as the saying goes:
Pictures say more than a thousand words
Now follow some impressions from the map. Next week, the developer team will follow in the introduction round.
Until then, and had you well,
The GIRC Team
