Welcome
to our new and last blog of the year 2021. A lot has happened since the last post, which we will only touch on here shortly.
Update
Ückeritz by the sea, a small tranquil village near the port of Rödau, was raised within a few weeks. A narrow-gauge railway connects the station on the main line with the village itself and the adjacent harbour.
Southwest of Presslau, the holiday island was built with an island railway. There we will soon start a well-deserved holiday (irony).
The airfield of Rödau with regiobahn and freight connection is currently still under construction, so that in addition to the port a goods import and export can also take place there.
In addition, there was a small Christmas market in Rödau right next to the main train station during the Advent season, where we can meet again next year for a cozy get-together. As a highlight of this, snow fell throughout the city during this time, creating a white winter landscape.
But not only in the game there was great progress. The developers were also diligent. There is now the mod "InvisibleLights" for invisible light sources, so that places can now be illuminated accordingly without having to hang torches everywhere.
In addition, a mod was developed for various blocks that we were missing in the game. This includes, among other things, various platform edges.
Bugs have been fixed in the other projects and numerous new features have been added.

"Year-end celebration"
On 28.12. we had a "year-end party", which we had designed as a game evening. We had played "Gartic Phone", "Cards against Humanity", "Golf with your friends" and "Pummel Party" among others. Apart from the resulting rage moments, all those present had a lot of fun.
Outlook for 2022
In the new year, we continue to work diligently on the project, be it the builders on the map or the devs on the mods. A lot is still planned and hopefully we will be ready in the course of the year to open the Roleplay on the server. In any case, we would like to thank everyone who is actively involved in the project and helps to make GIRC a lively community.
We wish you all a good start into the new year.
